Massage Woman 2 Deep Tissue Massage and Asian Bodywork

Deep Tissue Massage

… is known to heal the deeper muscle layers and the connective tissues. Slow  strokes are used across the muscles. The strategy is also referred to as the friction technique. This kind of massage is employed on people who experience painful or chronically tight muscles,  repetitive muscle strain, problems with their posture, and to help those who are recuperating  from serious injuries.

Next, there is a Japanese massage therapy called Shiatsu. This therapy utilizes localized finger pressure following a rhythmic sequence, similar to what is done in acupuncture.  The points are held for between 2 to 8 seconds, because the massage is meant to enhance energy flow within the body.

Continuing in Asia, Thai massage actually resembles Shiatsu the way that it re-aligns the energy in the body by applying gentle pressure on key points. Stretches and compressions are performed as different postures are followed.

Have you ever tried one of these techniques? How did it work for you?

As a life-long sufferer of tension, TMJ and back spasms I’ve tried several modes of therapy.

Shiatsu and, more especially, Deep Tissue Massage have proven to be very successful in relieving my pain. Further, the reduction in muscle tension and general relaxation improves my quality of sleep.

    I recommend both highly!

Deep tissue massage is something that really helped me get through sports. I constantly had tight muscles that would never loosen up, even throughout an entire basketball game. This type of massage was very helpful as it made me feel athletic and mobile. The other techniques are very interesting. I’ll have to give them a shot to see if they will help me. Thanks for the information.

I love these deep tissue massages. One thing I learned (the hard way) is that you should drink plenty of water after your done with it. I felt very dizzy and weak after mine but better in the coming days. I hear water cures that issue.

Shiatsu massage lies within the ancient Chinese and it is designed to help regulate the flow of energy within the body. During a shiatsu massage, thumb, fingers, palms or feet to the body apply pressure. This type of massage helps produce a deep relaxation increases energy levels and brings balance to the body. Ty.
